7-Day NC500 Campervan Adventure from Glasgow
The North Coast 500 (NC500) is one of the most scenic road trips in the world, offering a blend of rugged coastlines, stunning beaches, dramatic mountains, and charming villages.
Starting from Glasgow, this 7-day campervan adventure takes you through the Scottish Highlands to join the NC500 at Applecross, before completing the circuit and finishing in Inverness.

Day 1: Glasgow to Applecross
- Depart Glasgow early and take the A82 through Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park.
- Stop at Glencoe for a short hike or photo opportunity.
- Continue to Fort William for lunch and a quick visit to Neptune’s Staircase.
- Drive via Loch Cluanie and Loch Carron, stopping at the viewpoint for breathtaking scenery.
- Take on the Bealach na Bà, a thrilling mountain pass leading to Applecross.
- Overnight at Applecross Campsite with incredible coastal views.

Day 2: Applecross to Ullapool
- Enjoy breakfast at the Applecross Inn before setting off.
- Follow the NC500 north along the rugged coastline, stopping at Torridon for a walk.
- Visit Shieldaig, a picturesque village overlooking the sea.

Day 3: Ullapool to Durness

- Arrive in Dornoch, famous for its sandy beach and historic cathedral.
- Overnight at Dornoch Caravan Park.

Day 7: Dornoch to Inverness
- Enjoy a leisurely drive south via Tain, home to Glenmorangie Distillery.
